I WANNA KNOW WHAT U THOUGHT OF THIS EVENT AND IF U DIDNT GO...WHY NOT ?

i had a good time. attendance was lacking, but that didnt stop me from dancing my heart out.
duke luke dropped an ill old skool/club set that had me, and my younger sister cutting a rug. good shit luke! as did jose, love the melodic drum and bass-moved my soul, and apx1 killed it. bacteria had me moving to some fantastic beats, a pleasure to see u again martin. kinda dissapointed about the outdoor stage being shut down, i missed james rize, although it was good to see him. but i woulda liked a little cheddar in my veins.
the downstairs stage was by far the best room in the house, it worked really well with sound/lighting/atmosphere.
all the lights on in the place didnt help much, felt a little too daytime. i loved the go-karts, which aside from the music was def my fav part. i met some good people, lots of peeps i was happy to meet.
and thank you to everyone that signed my balls!
i had quite a few peeps coming down from flag, phx and prescott for this one, and all but 2 bailed out. between the venue change and the price hike i just couldnt get them to make the 2-4.5 drive (respectfully). fantastics was a great venue to use, but i think more could have been done to enhance the atmosphere.
all in all i am very glad i went. i had a good time, got to dance hard, meet new peeps, and ride go-karts. what else could a guy ask for?

I'm not going to lie to you here Tonic, and I know you tried your best and I understand all the various constraints you were under, I realize and completely understand your position. Im saying this because I am go0nna be brutally honest here.

That. Rave. Sucked. (or as Funtastics called it "Electronic Music Dance Party") It was the absolute worst rave I have ever been to. I barely danced, the entire time there I just felt like a Mall Rat walking around and occasionally siitijng down at a table. Everyone there I talked too felt the exact same way. You accomplished something that any suburban mom coulld have done for their 5 year olds birthday. All the dance floors were practically empty, and from what I heard even one of your DJs felt like that and left (the outside one). I feel most sorry for the Phoenix guys because at least for them your reputation seems completely shot. Especially after hearing about some of the crazy raves up there the very same night. Though its not like there were many ravers there in the first place. Mostlu I saw skaters, gangsters, and bros. It's not like you incapable of throwing a good rave as me and many others know, this just sucked unbelievelaby bad. Me and my frriends left at about 2 oclcck. Did it go to 4? All night long the funtastics people were saying 2.Did you even see the way that they looked at us? It was like we were freaks. No glowsticks? No kandy? What is that? Of course you didnt care about the girls, they were covered in candy, dozens of them, but if a guy had it on it was taken from him. That seems maybe a little sexist? At one point we decided to play mini-golf, and we played some games too. Were we even @ a rave? If I wanted to play games, I'll spend the night at home on my computer. I came to dance and have fun. This was supposed to be a rave but I might call it the worlds largest kickback. The afterparties were better, and way more populated, this one was practically empty and a majority of the time seemed completely dead. I did not see one person that I really recognized.The only reason I think ppl stayed is because they dropped 25 bucks (even though you had said 20, again...) to get in.

Tonic, again I understand were your coming from dude, so no need to explain it to me in a post. I really do dude, I know you tried your best. Yesterday, your best just wasn't good enough, that's all. If you wanna convince everybody, especially the PHX kids, that you can throw a proper rave, your next rave will have to be truly epic.

I liked it alot, the turnout wasn't how i expected it to be but i had a great time and i know alot of people who feel the same way jared...

tonic, that party was great! ya we couldnt bring in glowsticks and stuff but there were plenty of lights there that people ended up getting anyways. the go-carts were freakin awesome! and the downstairs stage was perfect! the only thing i was disappointed in was when they had to shut down the outdoor stage, but these things happen.

all in all very fun event!

ON the lighter side, tonic i had a fucking BLAST!!!! yea, whatever the attendence was kinda weak, but then again it was kinda spread out, and the people that were there were the people i wanted to be there. The music was surprisingly really good i thought, dukeluke fucking ROCKED IT! and tranzit is the shizznit!!! i was one glowsticking pirate. And the bumber boats made my fucking night alright, that was the fucking shiznit!!! even though the girl running them told me that i wasnt allowed to try to board another ship mid bumper boat ride. :*( but all in all i had a fucking blast, not one of the 'bigger' parties but it was a good time.

I had my own event and missed this party. We did have a toast at Harmonic ConcorDance wishing Tonic the best luck. We sent Tonic as much love as we could.

It was one of those things that looked really really good on paper but just didn't *click* I guess. No doubt it was good. Hell I had a great time, but I always do. Felt more like a party than a rave though.

I would have went anyways though simply because of the Trance line up but I know some of the other phx people were let down because of all the hype which I totally understand. I was expecting more as well. Its a bit "much" to drive more than two hours expecting the hottest shit since satan's blood and to come to what basically amounts to a big party instead of a rave with tons of rules ( understandably for the location held ). I realize there was a lot of work put into it and I had a good time. The atmosphere was a bit off and It just felt over hyped compared to what else was out there is all. AWESOME work downstairs. AWESOME music.

I appreciate the Tuscon peep's letting the phx people have a place to stay after. Takes cajone's and a good heart to let some random ass 'ravers' into your house and pass out on your floor.

I had a blast I thought the location ruled, way better then the hot sweaty warehouse downtown. always a plus being able to go outside to cool off, plus there were free video games and rides!!!

there was a party there in 99 and it got shut down at 10:00 because of the outside stage so i had a feeling that stage would get shut down (better then the whole party gettin shut down imo) i was booked to play gabber outside so i was kinda sad about that but i got to tag dnb with njoy downstairs so that made up for it.

and the security couldnt have been more friendly, but ive also been beaten up and robbed by ice security team, all they are are a bunch of thugs. so maybe its just me but i had no problem with the security at funtastics

the only thing that this party was lacking was people, if there were a 1000 peeps there you probably wouldnt be complaining about the party. MAD RESPECT TO TONIC FOR PULLIN THIS OFF I HAD MAD FUN R-E-S-P-E-C-T!!!!!!

that venues cool dont get me wrong been to many a party there even b4 tonic was doin em there, but when there no air ventilation it gets up to 120 degrees in there!!! nimbus is dope!! played a party there in 2000 that had indoor and outdoor stage it was tight!!

it was wierd, i got in with my glowsticks but they were actual lights, hell i am a proffesional and all LOL, but yea you gotta think of it this way, if tonic let every rooled out kid in there covered in candy and swingin glowsticks how good do you think that woulda gone with them and do you think they woulda let this happen again???
